EAST HOLLYWOOD - Japanese Izakaya Dinner (Set Menu) at Budonoki

IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY: ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 48-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.

Since we are considered a large group by Budonoki's standards, we will have about 8 dishes served family style for our dinner. A sample menu (dishes selected by the restaurant) would be:

Spicy Tuna Handroll - Chopped Tuna, Chili Crisp, Toasted Nori
Scallop Crudo - Hokkaido Scallop, Cilantro Vinaigrette, Market Citrus
Roasted Maitake & Arugula Salad - Crispy Rice, Pickled Shimeji, Nori Dressing

Tebasaki - Fried Jidori Chicken Wings, Hot Honey Soy Garlic Butter
Hiyashi Pan - Wagyu Bourguignon, Aji Verde
Ember Roasted Japanese Sweet Potato - Miso Koji Butter, Chives

Aburi Salmon Pressed Sushi - Ora King Salmon, Shiro Miso, Serrano
Yakisoba - Pan Fried Noodles, Wagyu, Garlic Chives

EVENT DETAILS:
• We will meet in front of the restaurant shortly before 5:30 pm.

• Cost per person is expected to be about $80.00 or more, depending on how much food we order, any beverages, plus tax and gratuity. Please bring at least $120 in CASH (small bills preferred) on hand to settle your portion of the bill. I can also accept payments via Venmo (@tripleaxel), or Zelle/Paypal (sktoy67@gmail.com).

• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance to attend, you have to be amenable to what the group/AO will order. You don't have to eat everything that is ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. Most of the dishes we order will be at least moderately spicy. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, then you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.

• Valet parking is provided. Street parking is also available. Be sure to check all signs for any parking restrictions.
