BEVERLY GROVE: Family-Style Contemporary Japanese Style Brunch at Takagi Cafe

Details
IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY: ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 48-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
Takagi Cafe is a small chain in Japan famous for serving their Mille Feuille/Souffle Pancakes. This first US location serves them, as well as other popular favorites like omurice (omelet rice), tonkatsu, sandos, and Hamburg steaks. Specialty teas and coffees are offered as well.
Since I am not sure how crowded it will still get, I am setting the meet up time to just before they open at 9:00 a.m. Arrive earlier than 8:45 a.m. to search for street parking. Their Yelp page indicates they offer validated parking, which I will call and inquire. This place is Walk-Ins only, so I'll arrive much earlier to queue up. However, if you arrive before I do, please queue up for the group.

EVENT DETAILS:
• We will meet in front of the restaurant at 8:45 a.m. If you arrive late, we may not have a seat for you as they may not seat us until our entire party is present.
• Cost per person is expected to be about $50.00 or more, depending on if you order any beverages, or additional a la carte items, plus tax and gratuity. Please bring at least $80 in CASH (small bills preferred) on hand to settle your portion of the bill. I can also accept payments via Venmo (@tripleaxel), or Zelle/Paypal (sktoy67@gmail.com).
• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly between all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance on attending, you have to be amenable to what the Organizer will order. You don't have to eat everything that is ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, then you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.
• Validated parking may be available (I will inquire). Street parking is also an option. Please check all signs for any restrictions.
