IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY, ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 72-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
A few years ago, one of the owners of Delicious Chengdu sent me a message via MeetUp, inviting our group to try their food (they had recently opened at that time). However, the dinner left much to be desired as the owners assumed that because we were a mixed group of diners, and not all Northern Chinese, we would not be able to handle the spiciness of Sichuanese food. So, they decided to serve all of our dishes with little to no spiciness. Big mistake. We finished the dinner, thinking that this had to be some of the weakest Sichuanese food we had ever had. The owners apologized for the faux pas, and I mentioned that we would return for another visit soon to try their food when it's prepared the it was meant to be.
Well, that was about 4 years ago. I think it's time to go back and hope for better food.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFO:
• We will meet in front of the restaurant shortly before 5:30 pm. Please don't be late.
• The meal here is expected to be around $38.00 or more, depending on how much food we order, any drinks you may order, $1 MeetUp Fee (waived to those who paid their membership renewal fee since July 2024), tax, and at least 20% gratuity. Please bring at least $80 in cash (small denominations preferred) to pay for your share of the meal. However, if necessary, I can accept payments via Zelle (which, unlike PayPal or Venmo, does not charge a service fee).
• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to attend, you must be amenable to what the group/AO will order. You don't have to eat everything that is requested, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, then you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.
• PARKING INFO: There is a parking lot directly behind the restaurant. There is also street parking. Be sure to read all signs for any parking restrictions.
