EAST HOLLYWOOD - Family-Style Southern Thai Dinner at Jitlada

IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY: ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 48-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.

Sadly, as I was going to reserve our tables yesterday at Happy Duck House, I learned that they had closed. Sad and big loss to the Chinese food world. So, as a replacement option, we will be dining at Bistro Na's for their Imperial style Chinese cuisine, and more recently, their Beijing style roast duck has been a hit. So, let's give them a try. Unfortunately, I will need to limit this to a party of 6 until I am able to book a second table.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFO:

• We will meet by the main entrance shortly before they open at 4:30 pm. Please don't be late as they may not seat us until the entire party is present.

• Dinner here is expected to be around $80 or more for food, any drinks you may order, tax, and at least 20% gratuity). Please bring sufficient cash (small denominations preferred) to pay for your share of the meal. IF WE PAY IN CASH ONLY, WE WILL GET 10% OFF OUR DINNER.

• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their own beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance to attend, you have to be amenable to what the group/AO will order. You don't have to eat everything ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. Most of the dishes we order will be at least moderately spicy. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.

• PARKING INFO: Limited parking in the corner strip mall where they are located. Street parking is the other option. Be sure to check all signs for any parking restrictions.
