IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY, ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 48-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
Our beloved Happy Duck House in Rowland Heights closed last October. This month, they reopened as Jin Duck House in the former space of the once-popular Tasty Duck. They still offer their 10-course combo dinner, but now for a higher price.
We will indulge in the $588.95 Combo Dinner, which includes:
- Beijing Roasted Duck
- Appetizer Combo Platter
- Ginseng with Chicken Soup
- Braised Sea Cucumber
- House Special Lobster (black peppered) with noodles
- Steamed Black Cod
- Filet Mignon Cubes with Black Pepper Sauce
- Sticky Rice with BBQ Eel
- Jelly Fish Head with XO Sauce
- Stir-Fried Wood Ear Mushrooms with Mountain Yam
- Sweet Rice Balls with Rice Wine Sauce
We will have a 2nd duck ($89.95) to make sure everyone gets their fill.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFO:
• We will meet by the main entrance shortly before our 5:30 pm reservation. Please don't be late.
• Dinner here is expected to be around $85-90 or more for food, any drinks you may order, tax, and at least 20% gratuity. Please bring sufficient cash (small denominations preferred) to pay for your share of the meal. However, if necessary, I can accept payments via Zelle (which, unlike PayPal or Venmo, does not charge a service fee)
• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their own beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance on attending, you have to be amenable to what the group/AO orders. You don't have to eat everything ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. Most of the dishes we order will be at least moderately spicy. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.
