ROSEMEAD: Dim Sum Brunch at Sea Harbor Seafood Restaurant 海港大酒樓
Details
IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO TOO MANY LAST-MINUTE RSVP CANCELLATIONS RECENTLY: ANYONE WHO CANCELS WITH LESS THAN 48-HOUR NOTICE, NO SHOWS, OR ARRIVES MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE WILL BE PLACED ON A 2-MONTH PROBATION AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND ANY EVENTS DURING THAT PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
NOTE: Restaurant opens at 10:30 am. Please arrive around 10:20 am to queue up for a table. I will arrive earlier and hope to be as close to the front of the line as possible. Restaurant may not seat us until the entire party is present. If I am able to get a reservation for the group, then I will change the start time to a later time.
They were the top and best place to go for dim sum in LA until the pandemic. Since then, they've been touch and go, including a shuttering a couple of months ago due to multiple health code violations that dropped them below a C Rating.
We thought they were gone until word got out that they had reopened a week ago. So, let's go and check them out and see if they've regained their reputation as one of the best dim sum restaurants in LA.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFO:
• We will meet by the main entrance shortly before 10:15 am. Please don't be late or they won't seat us until our entire party is present.
• Brunch here is expected to be around $50 or more depending on how much food we order, any drinks you may order, tax, and at least 20% gratuity). Please bring at least $80 in cash (small denominations preferred) to pay for your share of the meal. However, if necessary, I can accept payments via Zelle (which, unlike Paypal or Venmo, does not charge a service fee).
• Family-Style Dining: Dining for this event has been designated as Family-Style. The food bill will be split evenly among all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their own beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance on attending, you have to be amenable to what the group/AO will order. You don't have to eat everything that is ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you. In addition, if you have ANY dietary restrictions or ingredients you do not wish to consume, then you may want to skip this event. Ordering dishes modified to fit someone's dietary needs or personal tastes will alter the true flavors of those dishes for the rest of the group.
• PARKING INFO: Parking is available in their own lot. Street parking is available. Be sure to read all signs for any parking restrictions. Do not park in the lot to the south of the restaurant as your car will be cited and towed.
