I am a therapist, divorce mediator, and adjunct professor at NYU with a specialization in eating disorders. I am interested in helping to facilitate a monthly meet-up group to discuss experiences, treatment options, and helpful ideas in dealing with eating disorders of all types. I have years of experience treating bulimia, binge eating, anorexia, and issues of body image, with excellent results.
In addition to seeing patients individually for eating disorders (among other issues), I'm currently forming an ongoing, weekly therapy group for persons with eating disorders who are looking for something more ongoing and intensive. I work on a sliding fee scale, so I will do what I can to make it work for you. My approach is a combination of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and Buddhist principles, with a healthy dose of compassion and understanding!
Our meetups are held in Union Square, near 12th Street and University Place.
