The Togian (or Togean) Islands are an archipelago of 56 islands and many offshore islets, situated in the Gulf of Tomini, off the coast of Central Sulawesi, in Indonesia. The largest islands are Batudaka, Togean, Talatako and Una-Una. There are 59 villages on the islands, with one settled by the Bajau people, more commonly known as the sea gipsies.

In 2004, the government established a part of Togean Islands as a National Park consisting of 292,000 hectares of seawater (including 132,000 hectares of coral reef which is the largest in Indonesia), 70,000 hectares of land and 10,659 hectares reservation of forests and mangroves. This enchanting archipelago is one of the jewels of Central Sulawesi.

### **ITINERARY**

**DAY 1: PALU – BESOA VALLEY**
Arrive at Palu Airport. Travel to Besoa Valley (5 hours) and stop at the Besoa Valley Megalith site before checking in to the homestay where we will be staying at.

**DAY 2: BEOSA VALLEY – TENTENA (B,L,D)**
After breakfast, get ready to check out. We will visit a maker of bark clothing in the Besoa Valley. We will also have the opportunity to see the local traditional houses. Then, we will go to Poso Lake at Tentena, about 4-6 hours journey. Stay at Lake Poso Resort.

**DAY 3: TENTENA – BADA VALLEY – TENTENA (B,L,D)**
Today, we will head to Bada Valley, about 2.5 hours journey, and explore the megalith site. Enjoy the scenery of Bada Valley and Dero Traditional Dance.

**DAY 4: TENTENA – AMPANA – TOGEAN ISLAND (B,L,D)**
We will leave in the early morning, 04.30 am, and drive to Ampana (4.5 hours). Then, we will cross to Togean Islands by speedboat at 11 a.m. The journey will take about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Togean Islands, we will start exploring Jellyfish Lake, and snorkeling at California Reef. Before sunset, we will check in to our resort at Kadidiri.

**DAY 5: KABALUTAN VILLAGE (B,L,D)**
After breakfast, we will go to Kabalutan Village by a speedboat, about 3 hours journey. Visit the Bajo Tribe and see their way of life.

**DAY 6: TOGEAN ISLAND – GORONTALO (B,L,D)**
Today, we will leave Togean Islands and head to Gorontalo by ferry at 16.00. Overnight on the ferry.

**DAY 7: GORONTALO (B,L,D)**
Arrive in Gorontalo at 07.00 am, we will watch the performance of the Saronde Dance at Otanaha Fort. Then, we will visit Walimah Golden Dome Mosque and also the Whaleshark.

**DAY 8: GORONTALO (B)**
After breakfast, drop off at the Gorontalo Airport.
