### **INTRODUCTION**

**Taka Bonerate National Park** is not as popular as other diving destinations in Indonesia which is an additional advantage. The area is still untouched by dive tourism and can be considered as one of the world's few remaining dive frontiers. The atolls rise abruptly from a deep oceanic trench and offer some fantastic wall diving in good visibility.

### **ITINERARY**

**DAY 1: MAKASSAR**
Arrive Makassar, free programme.

**DAY 2: MAKASSAR – SELAYAR – TAKA BONERATE (B,L,D)**
We will head to Bulukumba Port in Bira at midnight. The estimated time to arrive at the port is around 5 am. We will have a light breakfast while waiting for our ferry to cross to Selayar Island at 7 am.

Arrive at Selayar at around 9.30 am, and we will continue our journey to Pattumbukang Port to cross to Taka Bonerate National Park. We will have our lunch stop along the way.

The first dive site we will dive at is Jinato Wall Paradise I, around Jinato Island. Enjoy the sunset and dinner on the boat.

**DAY 3: TAKA BONERATE (B,L,D)**
Sunrise hunting (optional) around the island. After breakfast, around 8.30 am we will move to our first dive of the day, Jinato Wall Paradise II / The Channel. After that, we will head to Tinabo Island where we will be staying tonight (1.5 hour).

Arrive around lunchtime. Check-in to our accommodation and after lunch, we will dive at Ibel Orange. And after the surface interval, we will dive at Arcopora Point. Enjoy the sunset and the dinner afterwards. Night dive is possible for those who are keen.

**DAY 4: TAKA BONERATE (B,L,D)**
Today we will head to several islands for our dive sites, such as North Taka Tarupa, Lasalimu, and Coral Garden. Approaching late afternoon, we will go to Bungin Tinabo to see the sunset. And then we will head back to our accommodation at Tinabo Island. Night dive is possible for those who are keen.

**DAY 5: TAKA BONERATE – SELAYAR (B)**
Before we check out and return to Selayar, we will have a morning dive at Latondu. Check-in at Sunari Hotel and free programme afterwards.

**DAY 6: SELAYAR – MAKASSAR (B,L)**
After breakfast, get ready to check out. We will head to the port for our ferry to cross to the main island. Arrive at Bulukumba Port, if time permits, we will visit the Phinisi Ship Builder at Tana Beru before heading back to Makassar. Reach Makassar, check-in hotel.

**DAY 7: MAKASSAR (B)**
Breakfast at your own time. If we still have time, we will visit one of Indonesia’s World Heritage sites, Rammang Rammang, where we can see a panoramic view of Karst or limestone hills. Drop off at the airport.
