Hello Maltmasters,
We are so excited for this next tasting and it’s going to be in person! The Diageo Distiller’s Edition tasting will be held in Gainesville on September 23rd at 7PM. We are still working on a date and location for Jacksonville but we expect it to be around the same timeframe. Here is the kicker. We need to move fast as we are having the bottles shipped across the pond from the UK and some of the bottles are starting to sell out.
So, we ask that you register for either the Jax or Gville tasting by Friday July 28th. That’s right, just over a week from now. This will assure we get all the whiskies and get them on time. We also need to know how many people want to attend so we know if we can afford to buy the whisky this far in advance. This tasting will have limited seating as we are holding it in someone’s home.
The Distillers Edition collection is an annual release of 7 limited edition Single Malt Scotch Whiskies that are double matured in different types of wine casks. Mark and Dave have really loved the Talisker DE dating all the way back to the 1998 vintage. The whiskies included in the tasting are Cragganmore, Dalwhinnie, Glenkinchie, Lagavulin, Oban, Talisker, Caol Ila and note the Caol Ila isn’t released in and is almost impossible to get in the US.
