Review Evolutionary Psychology's Evidence of Non-Subjective Basis for Beauty
Details
The subject of beauty has obviously been much debated over at least the last few millennia.
The latest model of human behavior is Evolutionary Psychology. Experimenters in this field have devised and conducted a novel line of experiments that have provided quantitative evidence in this debate.
The results of these experiments call into question the validity of other prevailing models. For example the Socialization Model which essentially implies that we learn what the ideal of beauty is and the Romantic Model where beauty is purely subjective and in the "eyes of the beholder".
Once again, this is a descriptive, and not prescriptive, review of what beauty is to us humans. That is, we have to separate what is from what should be. That is a debate perhaps of morals.
