Italian Cards Evening
Hosted by London Card Games Meetup
Details
Italy's territory was one of the original entry points of playing cards, that arrived on the continent from North Africa. It has many regional patterns, probably more than any other country in the World. This evening is to honour some of the cards and games that Italy brought to card games.
As usual, join us between 6PM and 9PM, to get your fix of interesting card games, played with some exotic packs. Beginners are more than welcome!
On our recurring Italian card games evening we have played some card games that lean towards the slightly more skilful, like Scopone and Madrasso. Briscola Chiamata, mainly the Sicilian col Monte variant, is a very popular choice as well in case of 5 (or 6) players.
With odd numbers, Calabresella, this three player tressette variant and Scarto, the purest form of Italian Tarot are popular choices.
