Chinese Painting and Calligraphy class in Central London

ABOUT OUR CLASS

Learn how to paint a range of popular subjects using Traditional & Contemporary Chinese Brush Painting techniques. Traditional Chinese painting involves essentially the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink; oils are not used. As with calligraphy, the most popular materials on which paintings are made of are paper and silk.

Our classes will gradually increase in difficulty, and feature such subjects as swallows, bamboo, wild orchids, plum blossoms, pandas, horses, peonies and more. Our teacher Yeut Yean Teo Yuet graduated from Nangyang Academy of Fine Art which is the most prestigious art college in Singapore, and The Camberwell College of Art, she specialises in Oil and Acrylic painting, Chinese Painting and calligraphy. She will be teaching Chinese Painting and calligraphy at our studio in Whitechapel on every Friday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm.

Our studio is located in central London, 1 minute walk from the Aldgate East tube station and located right next to the Lloyds TSB Whitechapel branch, second floor of the E1 Business Centre.
