EMEG (Ethiopian Young Adults Making Ethiopia Great) Inaugural (First) Meeting

Welcome to the first gathering of EMEG! We are excited to kick off this amazing journey at High Ridge Park in Laurel, MD.

EMEG (Ethiopian Young Adults Making Ethiopia Great) is an organization for young Ethiopians & young Ethiopian professionals to collaborate and connect, based on our shared interest of wanting to help bring about the positive change that we wish to see in the Ethiopian community, both in the Diaspora, and in Ethiopia as a whole.

The purpose of this first meeting will be to lay the foundation and framework for the organization, meaning, that we will discuss, vote, and agree upon organization core values, missions, and goals for the next year and beyond. We will brainstorm together about these ideas and make all of our final decisions democratically through voting.

This organization will not belong to any one person, but it will belong to all of us equally, and this will reflect in all of the affairs and undertakings of EMEG.

So, if this sounds like something that you are interested in being a part of, we would be thrilled to have you join us for a day filled with inspiration, networking, and discussions on how we, as Ethiopian young adults, can contribute to making Ethiopia great.
