Plant Walk in Kruse Rhododendron Natural Reserve (Sonoma County)

Gregg Weber, a veteran field trip leader for the East Bay CNPS moved out of our area a few years ago and we've been pining for field trips led by him since!

Good news, Gregg is happy to lead some field trips for us in Sonoma and possibly other places.

This one will be at Kruse Rhododendron SP.

Meet at Kruse Rhododendron parking lot. It is on a gravel road off of Route 1. Space for about 5 cars.

There is a large parking area about 500 feet north on Rt 1. Could meet there, and carpool to the smaller parking lot on Kruse ranch rd.

Location is 2.5 hr drive from Berkeley.

Meet at 11:00 am. Plan on walking about 3 miles total, lots of ups and downs.

Here is a link to 1,700 flowering plant species around the area from the coast to Skaggs Spring Road.
