Mt Diablo Summit Plant Walk

Meet at the picnic tables in the lower summit parking lot (the large parking lot just below the summit, not the actual summit visitors center lot but the large lot a few hundred feet below.) We will walk the Mary Bowerman trail, counter clockwise looking down on the mountain, looking at flowers, trees, and shrubs, starting with oaks and Garrya on the side of the lot. Lots of flowers are in bloom (like the Pitcher Sage in the picture) but this is an unusual year. The trail is narrow but pretty flat but narrow, and about ome mile long.
