Summer Electric Bike Ride to Karori

EXPERIENCE THE JOY of riding an electric bike! You’ll beat any wind and flatten Wellington’s hills. We’ll take a return ride from Switched on Bikes on the Waterfront to Karori. There’ll be enough time to mingle and get used to the bikes before we head out on a summer evening ride.

We'll have empanadas from Puro Chile and drinks from Crocky's Cold Brew coffee bike there to amp us up for the ride and something to snack on too.

Our destination is the Karori Cemetery where we'll be welcomed by Barbara from Karori Cemetery Tours. Her introduction to the cemetery has been described as 'macabrely entertaining'!

Ride with us if you’d like to try and electric bike or if you’ve already got yourself a powered-up bike. You don’t need to be an expert rider, but we will be riding on the road- so you need to be comfortable riding a bike in Wellington. If you’re a un-plugged rider with strong legs that can keep up, we’d love to have you along too.
