eBike Social! Ride and Drinks

If you can ride a bike, you can ride an eBike!

Join us for a guided eBike ride around Wellington to get to know the capital culture and meet some other travelers and locals. We meet at Switched On Bikes on the Wellington Waterfront at 3:00pm where we will outfit you with a bike and helmet and then give you a quick lesson in the wonders of electric bikes. The ride will leave at 3:30pm.

Our enthusiastic guides will entertain you with facts and stories as you cruise around the city. After the ride we will roll over to St John's bar because nothing goes with bikes quite like brews and chips. Stick around to lounge on the bean bags, snack on some free chips provided by our friends at St John's and bask in our accomplishment of riding up one of the steepest hills in the city!

Why do we love electric bikes? Because they make the powerful Wellington wind surmountable, the hills become a breeze and everyone can ride at the same speed. Choose the level of assist that suits you- feel the burn or cruise for fun!

What to wear/bring:

-Closed toed shoes

-An extra layer/wind breaker- The temperature can drop in the evening and we can cruise at 25km/hr)

-A water bottle

-$30 NZD (Cash, Visa, Mastercard accepted) for the bike. ($ for a beer at the end)

This ride uses bike paths and regular roads- you don't need to be an expert but you've gotta be comfortable riding a bike on the road.
