York Photography Meetup

• What we'll do This time, we'll walk and take photos of the Solar System models in York. We'll meet at our nearest star, Sun (YO23 2UB). Then visit Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Nearby is York Marina's cafe where we can have a cup of tea and some scones later on. Feel free to come with your bike! * If there are more than 6 people, I'll divide the group and we'll depart with 10 minutes gap. * Feel free to wear a face mask/covering if you want to. * If the weather looks horrible on the day, we could delay it to next week, so please check this page nearer the time. • What to bring - Camera (Mobile phones are very welcome!) • Important to know The event is free, however, it costs the fee to keep the group active, which is about £200 per year. • What we'll do The days are getting shorter, and it's time for night photography! This time, we'll meet in York city centre and make some light drawings using long exposures. If it's more than 6 people, we will divide the group and meet in different locations. Bring a portable light and a tripod, and I'll guide you through the settings with tips for low light photography. * If the weather looks horrible on the day, we might delay it until next week, so please check this page nearer the time. • What to bring - Camera (preferably with a manual mode) - Tripod - A torch or other lights for extra effects (e.g. sparklers) • Where to meet TBC • Important to know The event is free, however, it costs the fee to keep the group active, which is about £200 per year.
