eCHO Episode 211: Lab Preview: External Auth in Gateway API & Cilium

In this episode of eBPF & Cilium Office Hours, Nico Vibert and Dan Finneran preview a new hands-on lab on external authorization in Gateway API and Cilium. Gateway API now has a standard way to handle authentication and authorization at the gateway, the ExternalAuth filter, which will be supported in the upcoming Cilium 1.20 release. Instead of building auth into every app or wiring it by hand, you can point a route at an external auth service and let it approve or reject requests before they reach your backend.
