HU is a sacred mantra that opens the heart and expands consciousness. At this Sound of Soul event, you’ll join others for a 12-minute HU chant, followed by quiet contemplation and a facilitator-led discussion on spiritual topics that may arise after singing HU. Together, we can also explore spiritual insights and practical ways to recognize God’s blessings in daily life.

You are warmly invited to attend Eckankar in Central New York’s sponsored in-person Sound of Soul event, titled “What’s at the Heart of Life?” that will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11:00 am–12:00 pm, at the Cortland Free Library, 32 Church Street, Cortland, NY 13045 (Community Meeting Room, main floor.)

The song of HU, sung or chanted each day for several minutes, can bring you to a higher state of consciousness that opens the door to divine love. This gift of an open heart helps you deal with daily challenges with grace and patience. You may experience a connection to Divine Spirit that touches those around you. Join us to experience and discuss the benefits of singing HU.

Ted Rohm, a long-time student of Eckankar, will facilitate the event. He hopes you bring your stories, your experiences, and your life-long spiritual insights to share in an open and friendly atmosphere.
