HU—A Key to Spiritual Freedom

Discover how singing HU can transform your life.

HU is a sacred mantra known as the Sound of Soul. This special Sound of Soul event begins with the opportunity to join others of like heart in a 12-minute HU chant followed by a short contemplation. A facilitator will then lead an open discussion on the spiritual topics that arise after singing HU. The conversation may include some focus on techniques to unlock God’s blessings with the expanded consciousness that occurs when the sound of HU opens your heart.

You are warmly invited to attend this Eckankar in New York sponsored, in-person, Sound of Soul Event, titled “HU—A Key to Spiritual Freedom,” that will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, 11:00 am–12:00 pm, at 32 Church Street, Cortland, NY 13045 (Cortland Free Library, Community Room).

The song of HU, sung or chanted each day for several minutes, can bring you to a higher state of consciousness that opens the door to Divine Love. This gift of an open heart helps you deal with daily challenges with grace and patience. You may experience a connection to Divine Spirit that touches those around you. Join us to experience and discuss the benefits of singing HU.

Ted Rohm, a long-time student of Eckankar, will facilitate the event. He hopes you bring your stories, your experiences, and your life-long spiritual insights to share in an open and friendly atmosphere.
