Come Hang Out for an Earth Day walk & talk on one of Charlotte's many Greenways!

The clocks have sprung forward, and so have we!! Join us on Earth Day for a Walk & Talk, a midweek stroll to soak up the extra daylight and enjoy great company. As the sun sets later, let's take advantage of the longer evenings with a refreshing walk, good conversation, and a chance to unwind outdoors.

Whether you're looking to catch up with friends, meet new people, or just move your body after a long day, this casual walk is the perfect way to enjoy the lighter evenings of spring.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and an open mind for great conversation!

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭: Reedy Creek Park and Nature Preserve. After you go through the park's gate, the dog park is on the right. We will meet in the parking lot. I will have my dog with me. Feel free to bring yours. Leashes required. Please, NO retractable leashes so no one gets tripped up during our walk.

𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐞: approximately 2.5 miles one way. Total of 5 miles.

𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞: approximately 1.5 hours

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐲: This trail is part of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Greenway System. It is a paved multi‑use trail of approximately 3.25 miles that runs through Reedy Creek Park and the adjacent Nature Preserve, connecting Rocky River Road to Plaza Road Extension. Much of the trail follows Reedy Creek through wooded, natural areas, offering a quiet walk or ride alongside the creek and forested surroundings. The greenway provides access to park amenities and the preserve’s trail network.
