What we’re about
Do you know what a fossa is? Or which creature makes its own electricity? In this group, we will have fun while discovering the amazing creatures that we share our planet with, explore natural places, and participate in hands-on learning activities.
This group is for the nature-lovers of all ages, but especially for kids ages 4 and up with their caregivers. Our kids are spending more time indoors than ever before in front of various 'screens.' However, research shows that kids who spend time in nature are more likely to be healthier, have better academic performance, play more creatively and have vibrant imaginations.
While exploring outdoors, budding biologists will learn concepts in animal biology and ecology.
Examples of activities we will do in the group:
• Get outdoors into nature
• Learn fascinating facts about some of the most amazing creatures on Earth
• Develop awareness of the web of life / diversity of life
• Make nature themed crafts
• See and make presentations
• Scavenger hunts and other games
