EcoGreen Group members share a keen interest in making positive contributions to a more sustainable future through technologies, practices, and industries in the local and global community. Members are business and technical professionals that come from a wide variety of professions and industries. The organization is characterized by the diversity of its members and the ability to span the scope of the sustainability landscape. The EcoGreen Group is an all volunteer run member organization. The Facebook page is available to members and others for posting articles on topics relevant to our mission. It is intended to be educational, provide resources, and connect people in the area. EcoGreen Group (EGG) of Silicon Valley is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of CSIX, a non-profit organization in Silicon Valley.

Waves of Change: How California’s Most Powerful Wave Events Are Growing Dramatically Stronger
by John LindseyJohn Lindsey is a retired media relations representative and marine meteorologist for Pacific Gas and Electric Company at Diablo Canyon Power Plant. He has worked for PG&E for more than 20 years. He has forecast weather and oceanographic conditions along California's Central Coast for over 30 years. He writes a weekly column that appears in Sunday’s edition of the San Luis Obispo Tribune. He also writes a weather forecast that appears in Saturday's edition of the Tribune, Santa Maria Times, Lompoc Record, and Santa Ynez Valley News.
He is on the Board of Directors of the Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers, Central Coast Aquarium, PG&E Veterans’ Employee Resource Group and the Lost at Sea committee.
Prior to working with PG&E, he was a marine meteorologist and research scientist with Tenera Environmental. He served in the U.S. Navy for over 24 years. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College, California, and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. He successfully completed the U.S. Naval Aviation Meteorology and Oceanography Program at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.
He currently lives in Los Osos, California, and is married to Trisha. They have two children, Chloe, 28, and Sean, 21, both of whom serve in the U.S. Navy.
