Toasting eCommerce Success
Details
Join us on Wednesday 21st April for our next virtual event, Toasting eCommerce Success, where we’ll be discussing the challenges the drinks industry has faced, how they have managed to overcome them and how your business can learn from it, regardless of industry. We’ll be talking about all things Direct-to-Consumer with our expert line-up, so make sure to get your free ticket!
There are few industries that had more challenges to overcome in lockdown than the drinks industry. A business whose on-trade and off-trade at one time or another were almost wiped out. But we are a willing and enthusiastic consumer base and were completely open to innovation when it comes to getting access to our favourite tipple. There are many other sectors that could learn.
If your business model has been reliant on retailers, how do you get your brand to connect directly with its' advocates? The bar person has handled your very intimate customer relations. "The usual Sam". Sam knows what you like; The beer, the snacks, the Whiskey. Sam is on furlough and the bar has been shut. How have brands managed to bridge that personalisation gap with those who love their product?
We're going to talk all things Direct-to-Consumer (D2C); platform, delivery and experience. It's a quickfire session with folks who have been delivering these solutions for a very long time. Usually, we would do this in real life. But...lockdown.
So Edinburgh, we hope that this will be the start of something beautiful. We want to get to know you so please come along and as soon as common sense and the law allows, we'll put on an event and have you all along to talk brilliant things.
We have a stellar line up for our round table:
Catherine Murphy, Global Head of Technology at Edrington: The Macallan, Highland Park and The Glenrothes are just part of their portfolio.
Ian Daniels, Strategy Director at CX Collective: Masters of customer experience.
Alex Hogan, Head of Marketing for PushON: A man who understands how to drive relevant traffic to an eCommerce site.
Mike McGrail, Head of Content for Wemyss. A very talkable and loveable brand.
Josh Taylor: VP Enterprise Sales Adyen
And there are more to come.
We will be asking them some questions and getting insights relevant for any eCommerce business or supplier:
When lockdown hit, how did you assess the potential impact, what actions did you put into place and what was their impact?
Drinks brands are a very personal experience. Without that bar person relationship, how are you bringing your customers closer?
When you've lost the physical display space, how do you engage customers with the brand?
There will be more speakers and more questions. Sign up. Be part of the community and let us know how you want this to go.
