The eCAI started here. And we dont forget that.
We are leading a campaign to raise awareness of PSD2 requirements for online merchants. Details are here www.psd2ready.ie
We are holding a seminar on the 4th September in City Hall and have a few FREE tickets for our meetup members. Please register by saying you are attending and we will raffle the tickets out. We will do our best to accommodate as many as possible.
The Seminar will discuss PSD2 and its implications for online sales. We will look at how its changed the payments landscape and how we may be paying for goods and services in the future.
Our panelists will also give practical advice on how to implement it to minimise friction during the payment process.
I would suggest that we have a meetup to discuss the details of the new EU VAT regime, coming into effect on the 1st of January 2015 for all sales digital products. It brings several radical changes, and it could have a serious impact on small business owners, as well as introduce an increased administrative burden.
Even though the new rules don't apply to sales of physical products, they will be extended to cover them as well from 2016.
Note: I know it's very late to propose such discussion, but I came across the new rules just two weeks ago, by coincidence, and I spent most of the time developing a solution that would help achieving compliance.
