What we’re about
There are two ecovillage projects in Pennsylvania currently in development: Rachel Carson EcoVillage near Pittsburgh and Altair EcoVillage near Phoenixville.
As communities that strive to achieve an ecologically and socially sustainable way of life, ecovillages incorporate various aspects of ecological design, cohousing, permaculture, green building, alternative energy, and much more. There is a worldwide movement for development of these "best practices" kinds of communities: Global Ecovillage Network
