Ecstaturday LA Returns! + Potluck

We're back! After a three-year hiatus, Ecstaturday LA is returning .. and we couldn't be more excited to move together again. This is our first dance back, so come celebrate with us!
Rooted in Ecstatic Dance principles, we feature spirited beats for your auditory pleasure in a spacious and beautiful outdoor grassy setting. We gather and co-create a grounding dance space to move and shake ourselves and our expectations. We strive to connect inward and outward to provide an opportunity for dancers to move their bodies and souls to the music.

1pm – Arrival and Opening Circle
1:15–1:45 – Movement Class: Improv for Embodiment
2–3:30pm – Ecstaturday Dance Set
3:45–4pm – Closing Gratitude Circle
4pm onward – After-party & potluck at our new home, the Silverlake Sky Palace! 🏡

Bring something for the potluck and we'll keep it in the cooler for after, or grab something on your way and join us post-dance. Whether you're joining us just for the dance, or just for the after-party, we are so excited to be together with you again.
Etiquette: No alcohol, no phones, no judgement, & no worries!

While talking isn't forbidden, please respect dancers tuned into the music and their own flow. Take your conversations outside of the dance space.

Ask for consent and give people space before engaging since many attendees approach this free dance with different levels of desire for contact.

Pro Tips: Bring your own blanket, snacks, and maybe even an offering to the community! Got bubbles? Bring 'em! Got Sound Bath toys? Bring 'em! Are you a movement teacher? Talk to Leela about sharing your offering. This is a community of inclusion and what we bring as a collective is how we create community <3

Join us at the Old LA Zoo! Type "Old LA Zoo" into your maps, and it will take you right to the parking lot.

From the parking lot, it's a 5 to 7 minute walk.

1. From the parking lot, walk into the park.

2. Head RIGHT and UP: the stairs OR will take you to the PATH.

3. When you get to the paved path, go
RIGHT, passing the bathrooms on your right.

4. Keep walking up the path and eventually the grass will descend into a valley on the right. We'll be there.

After Dance, We'll head on up into the hills for a potluck and hang at our new Silverlake home! Bring a dish, grab something at sprouts or lassens on the way, and enjoy our yard, fire, sauna, and maybe even a cold plunge...
