Abstract:

In this talk, Fernando will discuss OpenStack architecture with a particular focus on networking. We’ll cover some important considerations for networking in OpenStack cloud, provide a look at common terminology, and discuss how Open Networking Suite works with OpenStack to alleviate networking challenges.

Fernando Sanchez - Principal Systems Engineer at PLUMgrid, Inc.

Bio:

Fernando is a Principal SE at PLUMgrid where he works in implementing software networking infrastructures in his customer's clouds. Fernando has 15 years experience in designing, implementing and operating large-scale networks of virtually all kinds of customers ranging from tier-1 telcos to massive datacenters and enterprises. Fernando became an engineer in his natal Spain and since then has gained certifications from virtually every vendor he's worked with, including Alcatel-Lucent, Brocade, Force10 or Vyatta.
