Details
OPS Fest, aka, free Shakespeare in the park, is showing the star-crossed lovers' Romeo and Juliet play at Laurelhurst Park this Saturday.
No spoilers, but apparently never was a story of more woe than this.
If you haven't been to their shows, they are somewhat improvised, lots of fun, very gender-bendy and LGBTQ inclusive - and audience engagement is encouraged!
The show itself goes from 7pm until around 10pm, with a short intermission. However, I may not be able to snag spots for everyone, so please arrive early - 6:45pm or even before that.
Please note:
- The map shows the exact location at the park.
- Seating is on the ground, bring blankets or picnic chairs as needed. (Picnic chairs can't sit in the first few rows).
- Eating or getting up to use the restroom during the show (or leaving early) is OK, as long as done quietly and mindfully.
- Picnics and leashed dogs are welcome.
- Mosquitos this season have been ginormous and bloodthirsty; a spray or long sleeves might be helpful.
- The show is absolutely free; donations are accepted.
