Sunday morning hike in Forest Park

A morning hike in Forest Park. We will do a loop of ~ 4.7 miles. Elevation gain of 446'. We will head to Springville Rd on the Wildwood and loop back on Lief Erikson. I will be driving a red Mini.

The parking is at the lower Germantown lot by Leif Erickson Rd. it can fill up so try to get there a little earlier. We will park at the Lower lot, but be careful, there is an upper lot too by the Wildwood trail. A trail connects the two, so head down that trail if you park at the wrong one. We will head up that trail when we start the hike.

This will be a moderately paced hike (2-2.5 mph) and hikers will enjoy a hike in one of the county's rare Urban Forests. Dogs will be allowed on this trek. The park is home to Barred owls, coyotes, elk, bobcats, and deer.

This will be a drug and alcohol-free hike.
