🗣️ 📜🌞 Early Registration is OPEN for the 2026 OREGON STAR PARTY!!!!
I’m super excited to get to share this event with you all once again!
This year seems to have even more in store for us, yet!
A week full of wonder and awe as we raise our gaze to the cosmic sea our little blue bubble floats within. The searing beauty of the high desert in Oregon’s Ochoco National Forest will set the stage for this adventure through Space Time! This inspiring Blue Mountains bluff sits around 5000ft elevation, and so provides a unique climate where days tend to be dry and filled with dust devils, while nights can lean towards somewhat chilly and at times drafty!
1: To attend this event you must register on the OSP website!🧾
2: To camp with EDHC, you are required to read through the following pages on the OSP Website; About - Registration - OSP Rules - First Timers/First Aid - Ochoco National Forest - Directions - Volunteering - Programs - to become familiar with what will be expected of you at this event.
3: Leave me message in the Event Comment (or direct message me) to let me know you’ve registered and gone through the website pages so I can move you to the ‘Going’ list!
4: Prepare now and not last minute! - Make a checklist of items you’ll require and want to bring with you.
5. 🔦 Lighting Requirements (Important)
Headlamps and/or flashlights are mandatory
🚫 Phone lights are not acceptable substitutes.
🔴 DIM Red-light filters or lenses strongly preferred
If you do not have a red lens, you will be expected to hike behind those that do.
💪🏽 This is a beginner friendly event, since no one will be required to attend any hike(s) or events and so can stay at camp the entire duration if they so choose. Hikes will vary in difficulty/metrics.
Carpooling/Driving 🚙🚗🛻
We will be setting up a convoy, at 9710 SE Washington St. (in front of McMenamins), since this is an out of town event.
Please arrive early enough so we can leave no later than 08:15am. If you are running late you may have to drive on your own. If that is the case please make sure you familiarize yourself plenty which the location ahead of time and download offline maps. There is no signal a little past Prineville, don’t let a minor issue turn into a serious emergency.
If carpooling, Passengers, please pay your driver for gas. Approx. 10¢ per mile. It is 185 miles driving from Starbucks to the OSP, so approx. $40 total. Please bring exact change.
Parking/Fees 🅿️
There are no fees associated with these locations once you register. For safety, sanity and convenience we will try to stay together as a convoy en route and in situ.
Note: If you park on the road/bluff you can come and go as you please. However, if you park down at the tree line where we camp (only allowed with passenger vehicles) it is a strictly, Once In and Once Out per vehicle rule.

🎒 Be Prepared

• Food, WATER, Snacks and anything you’ll need/want to be comfortable for five (5) days - There will be a food vendor on site but you may want to bring food stuffs for the off hrs🥪💧
• My events are cannabis friendly; FYI - smoking is ONLY allowed in closed vehicles for this event🦉
• Valuables - Better safe than sorry, leave them at home or secure them out of sight in vehicles🚫 = 💍👜📦
