WEN: Moonday, April 20th, 2026
TIME: 10:15am – 1:15pm* (plus a potluck feast after!)
WHERE: Secret edge of Forest Park (Burlington Creek Woods) - 15598 NW McNamee Rd.
DISTANCE: ~4 troll strides (or human miles)
ELEVATION: ~700 feets up, down, and around*
PACE: Strollin’ at super casual +/- 2–2.5mph*
DIFFICULTY: From wee hobbit-level to drunk mountain goat.
DURATION: ~3hrs* + snackin’ & laughin’

This event is exclusively for those that joined me on the Forest Park ATC series either Mondays or Saturdays. I will moving you to going list only if you were on previous FP ATC hikes this year.

🌲 The Forest Calls…. and the Trolls Agree! 🧌
This is a bonus quest in our epic adventure to conquer the entire 80+ miles of Forest Park trails! To do so, we have braved over 115 miles (give or take a few detours for snacks and shiny rocks). This time, we sneak into a lesser-known corner of the woods, Burlington Creek Forest, where secrets, moss, and mischief await!

🍃Let’s celebrate April 20th (420!) & this years’ Forest Park ATC with a fun and laid back event where we can just casually stroll through a short walk while enjoying each others’ company. 💨
Note: You are NOT required to partake in any mind altering substances…. consume responsibly.

Beginnings…. We begins with a loopity-loop through the trees, stumble into a hidden slice of Forest Park to discover some arty facts left behinds, and journey onward to the fabled Troll Bridge, a decommissioned train trellis now home to tiny forest offerings, doll heads, beads, bones, feathers, stickers, and other magical clutter.

Middlings…. Bring a trinket of your own to leave behind, and let the goblins smile upon thee. We shall mark the moment with a group photo under the bridge’s enchantment! Bonus points if you come dressed as a troll, gnome, elf, moss wizard, or some other creature of whimsy.

Endings…. on to the “The Purple House Potluck”, for feasting, merriment, and maybe a nap! Message Host for more info.

💪🏼 The Challenge (Not Really)
This hike’s for beginners and forest-dwellers of all fitness levels. We’ll take it slow, steady, and silly. Our average pace is 2–2.5mph, but that may shift a smidge depending on how much troll treasure we trip over.

This spot is still within the city realm, so no official carpooling, though you’re free to plan such things with your fellow adventurers in the Event Chat.

• No treasure required (a.k.a. it’s free!)
• Parking is limited - beware the narrow shoulder! Use caution when stepping in/out of your noble steed (car).
• Trailhead lives right off NW McNamee Rd. Follow the mossy whispers….

🧙 What to Bring for a Proper Quest
• A spirit of adventure, curiosity, and joy!
• Layers! Forest weather be fickle.
• Water, snacks, and a pouch of comfort items.
• Optional: A troll talisman to add to the Bridge Shrine.
• This is a 420-friendly realm - consume with care and courtesy.
• Leave valuables safe at home or hidden like dragon gold.
• All trail stats are best guesses by forest seers. Don’t smite me if it shifts!
• Most of all - be kind, be present, and let the woods work their magic.
