🔥Sadist Sundays: Conditioning Series🔥

👺 Are you ready to ‘hurt so good’ and push your personal limits?
Get ready for the Sadist Sundays conditioning series, the ultimate test of endurance, strength, and levity. Designed for those committed to improving their stamina and being patient with themselves and others, this series is not for the faint of heart, but together, anything is possible.

🦊 Why “Sadist Sundays”?
Because we can!
Don’t be such a prude, life’s too short.
This series has one goal in mind: to get stronger, faster, and more conditioned, while tackling some intense and rewarding hikes in the area. Whether you’re attempting a monumental challenge like a 30mi hike, pushing yourself to the next level, or wish to support those that are, this series will leave you dripping with sweaty satisfaction.🤌🏽

Expect heart pumping inclines, deliciously long distances, and jolly good company, all while absorbing the beauty of our the Beautiful city we call home. And remember, we move as fast as we can manage together, because that’s how we get better, together. 💪🏽

Today’s hike will be difficult, but different in that we will be spending (weather dependent) more time at the lake and may even go in for a dip during our break for some much needed R&R!

Pace & Difficulty: This is for people who are ready to move. We’ll aim for an average pace around 3mph. This is a moderately quick pace with consistent challenges along the way. 🥾
Gradual Increase in Difficulty: These hikes are designed to steadily increase in difficulty. Elevation, distance, and speed will all ramp up over time. By the end of the series, your endurance should improve if you have pushed yourself appropriately. 📈
Weight Challenge: If you do not consider this as difficult and you’re looking for a challenge, consider adding a weighted vest or backpack. 🏋🏽Please consider your abilities and be safe when adding weights. Consult a doctor before adding any substantial weights to your gear.
We promise it won’t be easy, but at least you’ll have somewhat decent company! 💀

This event has: Challenging Pace/Moderately Challenging Terrain/Challenging Distance.

🚗🚙 I will not be organizing a carpool for this event. If you wish to carpool, please feel free to set that up in the event comments.

🅿️ Plenty of parking at Mall 205 location for those carpooling. Your vehicle should be safer here than at Gateway.
Meet me parked or at my car just outside of the McMenamins at this address. Carpool assignments begin promptly at 10:15am and we leave within a minute or so of that. So don’t be late!

It is between 60-70mi depending on which way you go to Carson. 84E is quicker but there is a $3 toll at the Bridge of the Gods.
Riders, please pay your driver $8 for gas and fees. Pay driver right away when getting into vehicle so you don’t forget.
Trailhead: There is a large parking lot that can accommodate 20-30 vehicles, and a pit toilet at the trailhead. No fee from what I recall.
