Welcome to Edible City Zürich - Permaculture Design Meetup! This group is for anyone interested in learning and implementing permaculture design principles to inspire our own life design, as well as discovering the urban edible landscape in Zürich. We host regular workshops on different topics: Introduction to Urban Permaculture, Edible City Walks and Herbal Medicine!

As summer draws to a close, it is the perfect time to preserve the nutritional and medicinal properties of the herbs and fruits that can be found in our community gardens in preparation for the challenges that winter may bring. Elderberries are a powerful antiviral, rosemary is a potent anti-inflammatory and circulation booster, and sage is a warming, de-stressing herb that can benefit us all throughout the colder months. In this two-hour workshop, we will guide you through harvesting a sage and herb bouquet to dry at home – your very own locally harvested tea mix. We will also create an alcohol-free rosemary tincture and a delicious anti-viral jam with local elderberries and apples — a tasty addition to your winter muesli. Join us to learn about these local herbs and to get your hands dirty! You will leave with three well-being allies and the knowledge of how to use them to support you through the winter.

- collecting wild plants in the neighborhood,
- creatively using food waste, and
- planting on balconies and around the house based on permaculture principles.
