Join us for a friendly Sunday afternoon walk up Blackford Hill, one of Edinburgh’s best viewpoints. This is a relaxed, sociable walk aimed at chatting and meeting new people.

When: Sunday, 2:00pm
Where: The meadows (Melville Drive)
Duration: ~1–1.5 hours
Pace: Social / relaxed

We’ll make our way south to Blackford Hill, taking a gentle route up to the Observatory and summit, with time to enjoy the views across the city, Arthur’s Seat, and the Pentlands. We’ll regroup as needed, so no one gets left behind.

What to expect:
• Moderate walk with some uphill sections
• Sturdy shoes recommended
• Open to all fitness levels (as long as you’re happy with a bit of a climb)
• Dogs welcome (on lead)

After the walk, those who fancy it can head into central Edinburgh for drinks — completely optional, but a nice way to keep the social going.

Plan:
• Meet at 2:00pm
• Set off around 2:10pm to allow for late arrivals
• Finish around 4:00pm

If the weather’s particularly wild, we may slightly adjust the route — updates will be posted on the day.

Looking forward to a great walk and a relaxed Sunday afternoon! 🌤️🍻
