Craft and Chat Friendly Saturday Meetup

Come join us at our regular Saturday crafts meetup where you can work on your own craft/project/writings etc and chat with other crafty people. We are a very friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment. We are really informal, so no problem if you're late (or don't even come), or if you come a lot (every week) or just twice a year.

Our group isn't a workshop or class, but if you are interested in a common craft (knitting, crocheting or needle point) people will be happy to show you tips. Of course, other crafts besides those just mentioned are welcome. Just avoid anything that has strong smells, takes up disproportionate space or may mark/damage the tables.

Our group is not a singles meetup or a place to discuss highly controversial topics, nor are we a gossipy knitting circle. Our group is a place though that welcomes social interaction and conversation on a very diverse variety of topics. People are asked to bring crafts, but if it is your first time, come as you are and we will figure out what craft works for you.

We are especially happy to see new faces and ensure all new people are welcomed personally and if you are nervous about your first time, I'm happy to chat in advance and/or personally greet you myself.
We work on voluntary contributions twice a year (strictly voluntary) asking a fiver or tenner for those who can afford it and come with any frequency (once or twice a year, not every week). Again, strictly voluntary and only for those who come regularly.

Almost all crafts are welcome, if in doubt just send me a message. Most people knit or crochet but happy to have note-booking, drawing and quite excited for unusual crafts.

After four years in Santosa, we have recently moved to Level's cafe (1300-1700). We will be sitting somewhat near the check-out counter, on a line of tables by the large windows. Just ask a staff member if you cannot find us. It is wheelchair accessible and dog friendly. As only one dog is allowed per group, we do need you to reach out to me in advance before brining a dog.

If you have any special needs or questions in general, please do contact me. Again, if you are a little nervous and wish to be personally greeted, just let me know in advance, always happy to do so. Our number one aim is to make sure everyone has a social crafting space, on their own comfort level and to be made to feel included. Hope you see you there!
