20-22 mile route from Meadows by Craigmillar castle, Little France cut through Drum estate Gilmerton road, melville entrance to Dalkeith country park - off piste loop/route and out Smeton farm entrance, river Esk, passed QMU The range, 'new' back roads section to the Pitz at Portie and back towards start. Please Bring a snack and liquid refreshment for a short stop/comfort break on DC Park. Dont forget a spare inner tube and make sure your bike is safe and in a roadworthy condition. Some sectionsions off piste so hybrid, gravel or MTB advised.
