July Meetup: ML from Physics research to media content-creation + AI Agents

Details
Our first Data Science and AI talk will be on Thursday July 11th, from 6pm at the Bayes Centre at the University Of Edinburgh George Square campus.
This event is generously sponsored by Weaviate, the AI-native vector database.
Dr. Emily Takeva (BBC Studios) will give a talk titled: ML - from Physics research to media content-creation.
Emily obtained her PhD at the University of Edinburgh and CERN. She worked on training adversarial neural networks to extract events of interest in one of the production and decay channels of the Higgs boson. She now works at the BBC as a Senior Data Scientist, among many things, on predictive models for audience engagement and content creation.
Shiv Kodam will also give us an introduction to Agentic Workflows
