Edinburgh Data Science + AI April Meetup

Details
Our next Edinburgh Data Science + AI community event, for the community, by the community: On Thursday 24th April, we'll be warmly hosted again by our friends at CodeBase from 5.30pm.
Food and drink at the event is once again very kindly supported by Neuron. Neuron's mission is to help businesses transition from finite human labour to infinite agentic systems.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Sue Liu, currently at Kingfisher Plc. and formerly Edinburgh's own UserTesting, who will draw on her 15+ years of combined academic and industry experience to discuss "Forecasting: Traditional vs Deep Learning".
We will also hear from Dr. John Hartley on "How Personality Traits Shape LLM Risk-Taking Behaviour" - this talk will explore relationship between Large Language Models' personality traits and risk-propensity. We show that advanced models exhibit human-like risk patterns influenced by personality traits, particularly Openness, while less advanced models show inconsistent generalisations.
Schedule:
5.30pm - 6.30pm - Networking with pizza and drinks
6.30pm - 7:45pm - Talks with Q&A
8pm onwards - Continued networking, moving to a local pub at 8.30pm
Due to the popularity of previous events we can only admit those who have RSVP'ed on meetup.com.
CodeBase is an accessible venue, if you have any questions about accessibility please get in touch.
