    What we're about

Google Developer Group in Edinburgh (https://www.meetup.com/edinburgh-developer/) | GDG (https://gdg.org.uk/) is for anyone interested in learning about the vast world of technologies that Google offers. We meet to discuss a wide array of topics ranging from the Android (https://www.android.com), Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud (https://cloud.google.com) platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API (https://developers.google.com/cast/), Maps API, and YouTube API (https://developers.google.com/youtube/).

Edinburgh GDG is in many forms - from just a few people getting together to watch our latest video to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons.

However, at the Edinburgh's GDG we are more focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers. Whether that is Android development, implementing Google Apps in your business, becoming familiar with the latest technology (Google Glass, Android Wear, Chromebooks...), or simply learning more about making the most out of Ad-words for your business. If any of those facets suit you, then head over to the Google developers website and become a member. We will constantly strive to make this a beneficial experience for everyone.

All skill levels are welcome to come join us in learning, teaching, and networking with others. We are not Google or owned by Google ... Google is our main partner and offers support, swag, and of course ever-improving technology. Should you decide to become a member, there are no dues, cost or fees. You have to have an interest in learning more about the many aspects of Google.

Disclaimer: Google Developers Edinburgh (http://edinburgh.gdg.org.uk/) is an independent group; our activities and the opinions expressed here should in no way be linked to Google, the corporation. To learn more about the GDG program, visit: https://developers.google.com/groups (https://developers.google.com/groups/)

We have a social event every last Friday of the month with International Society of Edinburgh (http://edinburgh.international) at The Library Bar (https://www.eusa.ed.ac.uk/our_venues/teviot/the_library_bar/), hope to see you there!
