Details
"There, watching high the least alarms,
Thy rough rude Fortress gleams afar;
Like some bold Veteran, grey in arms,
And marked with many a seamy scar:
The ponderous wall and massy bar
Grim-rising over the rugged rock,
Have oft withstood assailing War,
And repelled the invaders shock."
(from Address to Edinburgh by Robert Burns 1787)
At 12:00pm I shall be seated in the West Princes Street Gardens between the Ross Open Air Theatre and the Mound, close to the "Baby Elephant". I will be working on an A3 sketch-pad so I should be conspicuous.
