Panoramic views from Calton Hill.

An unusual assortment of buildings and monuments dotted about the vicinity, in particular, the National Monument, a tribute to the Parthenon, and the Nelson Monument, built in the shape of a telescope.

At 12:00pm I shall be seated close to the South entrance of the Observatory Complex. I will be facing Edinburgh Castle, the tower of the Balmoral Hotel, the Scott Monument and the memorial to Dugald Stewart.

I will be working on an A3 sketch-pad so I should be conspicuous.
