About us
Welcome to Edinburgh Four Legged Walkers! This group is perfect for outdoor lovers who enjoy walking/hiking alongside their furry companions. Having a dog is not a requirement, if you want to walk, chat and have some fresh air, you're welcome to join. A great opportunity to socialise your dog with other doggies/dog lovers.
***All dog owners need to keep their dogs under control and abide by the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. A detailed description of the walk will be provided, including whether there is a possibility of encountering livestock. ***
I will be organising a variety of walks, from short evening walks to longer hikes (as I have an active doggie who can go for miles!), so consider your dog's fitness before signing up to longer walks.
Join us for some tail-wagging fun!

Beecraigs & Cockleroy
Beecraigs Country Park, EH49 6PL, Linlithgow, GBMeeting at the Beecraigs Visitor Centre (there are several free car parks nearby - the biggest is Hillhouse car park which is very close to the visitor Centre), we will follow a circular walk around Beecraigs country park including climbing up Cockleroy to have a view across the Lothians.
We will be following the Walk Highlands route here: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lothian/beecraigs-cockleroy.shtml
Bear in mind, there are two sections where dogs must be kept on leads (a loch which is a swan breeding ground and Cockleroy hill has sheep on it). We will also be at times crossing some country roads - ample notice will be given before reaching the road so that dogs can be put on a lead for crossing.
We will finish back at the visitor centre for optional refreshments and a chat.
Distance: Approx 7km
Ascent: Approx. 130m
Terrain: Mixture of well maintained woodland paths and grassy hills.Hope to see you there :)
