Peebles River Walk Circular

Details
Meeting at Kingsmeadow Car Park by the public toilets (free parking, toilets cost 30p to use), we will be heading west along the River Tweed, up and around South Park Wood and re-joining the river. From there, we will continue along the river until we cross at Lyne Station, before heading back toward Peebles, passing the scenic Neidpath Viaduct and Neidpath Castle.
Mostly well laid paths, some sections will be along a cul-de-sac road and a private road only used by farmers, therefore expecting little traffic. On the way back to Peebles, we will be crossing a relatively busy road, but ample notice will be given to ensure dogs are back on leads.
No livestock on route, although we will be passing some cows & sheep on the other side of the fence.
Distance: approx. 12km/7.5 miles
Elevation: 340m
Upon return to Peebles, optional stop at The County - a dog friendly pub.
Hope to see you there :)
