An interesting walk, mostly sheltered, perfect for the Autumn/Winter.

Meeting at Dalmeny Station Car Park (free parking), we will head down towards South Queensferry (and along the short high street). From there, we will follow the Forth away from South Queensferry towards Dalmeny House, stopping part way to explore some 2nd World War gun placements hidden away from the main path. We will also pass Hound Point, which legend has it, there is a ghost of a dog, so we might have some unexpected doggies joining us.
Once we get to Dalmeny House and exploring the grounds, we will circle back along the higher path, with some fabulous views of the Forth Railway Bridge. There will be a short 200m section across a sheep field where dogs must be on leads. There is an option quick climb up a hill to get our hearts going with nice views across the Forth.

Optional coffee stop upon return to South Queensferry, choosing from its variety of dog friendly cafes.

Distance: c.11km
Ascent: c.150-200m (depending on optional hill).
Paths: mostly well laid out shingle paths/private roads.

Meeting at Dalmeny Station Car Park (free parking), hope to see you there :)
