Mortonhall & The Braids
Details
Meeting outside the Stables at Morton Hall, we are going to start on a circular walk along the southside of the Braids. There are fields of horses either side, but behind electric fences. We will then circle back over Braid Hill and around Seven Acre Park before heading back to Mortonhall. Then we will wonder around the grounds of Mortonhall which include two resident highland cows (on the other side of a fence) in a smaller circle, returning to the start.
Optional stop for refreshments at the Stables Bar & Restaurant after the walk (dog friendly).
Distance: Approx. 7km
Ascent: Approx. 140m
Terrain: Mostly well laid out paths. There is likely to be some muddy sections.
Hope to see you there :)
