Lochore Meadows to Loch Leven over the sleeping giant and back again
Details
A beautiful walk around Lochore Meadows and then up Harran and Benarty Hills with beautiful views looking back at the Loch and then over towards Loch Leven with a stunning view of the whole Loch (pending on cloud cover of course!) From there, we will loop around the top of Benarty Hill and then head back towards Lochore Meadows and relax at Lochside Cafe situated there offering coffee, tea and cake.
There is a small section where there is sometimes cattle grazing - if that is the case, I will amend the route to avoid the livestock. We will also be crossing a quiet country road, but ample notice will be given.
Parking: Lochore Meadows Carpark - Free
We will meet just outside the Lochore Meadows Visitor Centre
Distance: Approx. 13km
Ascent: 300m
Terrian: Waymarked paths and mostly smooth. There is a couple of steep sections to get our hearts going.
Hope to see you there :)
