Germany vs Curaçao

The Three Sisters pub has been in touch to offer their venue as a place for this meetup group to cheer on Germany at this year’s World Cup.

The first Germany fixture is vs Curaçao on Sunday 14th June at 6pm. I am liaising with the venue to see what the set up will be.

But I do really need to get an idea of numbers, as we may get a specific part of the pub. So can you please RSVP if you are wanting to watch this match at the Three Sisters? If there is sufficient interest, we could schedule meet ups for the other Germany matches. I know in the past, we have met up to watch the Germany games at previous World Cups and Euros.

The below is what I received from the venue (I replied to say I wasn’t sure if people would pay for a ticketed event, but that I would schedule the first match as a meetup and see if people are interested).

“We’d love to make our venue the main homebase for German fans in Edinburgh during the matches, and with your group behind it I think we could create something really special.
We’ve got the space, screens, sound, atmosphere and events setup to do this properly - dedicated fan-zone area, match screenings, drinks offers, post-match entertainment etc.

We could even make it a ticketed fan-zone setup (£5-ish) so we can control capacity and put more into the experience - entertainment, décor, staffing, reserved areas etc”
